A website for a cleaning company, with the price after RUT on the first screen

People in Sweden looking for a cleaner check three things: is there RUT, what does it cost, and can they book right away. Your website answers those three questions on the first screen.

How Swedes search

  • hemstädning [miasto]
  • flyttstädning pris
  • städfirma nära mig
  • fönsterputs RUT

I write the Swedish texts and pages around these phrases. On the map, the same phrases are picked up by your Google Business Profile, and I work on your place in the regular results with the local SEO service.

What isn't working today

  • Customers don't know they get RUT

The RUT deduction cuts the labour cost in half. Swedish companies mention it in the first sentence, usually as “RUT-avdrag, halva priset”.

  • Flyttstädning sells differently from hemstädning

Customers buy move-out cleaning once, under deadline pressure, with a checklist from the inspector (besiktningsman). Regular cleaning they buy on an ongoing basis. Each of these services needs its own page and its own text.

  • The phone rings while you're working

With your hands in a bucket, you can't pick up the phone. The customer then calls the next company on the list. A form or online booking on your website takes that enquiry while you work.

What this website needs

Six things customers check before they call or write.

  • RUT-avdrag and the price “after the deduction” visible on the first screen
  • Separate pages: hemstädning, flyttstädning, storstädning, fönsterputs
  • A checklist of what each service includes
  • Pages for the districts and municipalities (kommuner) where you clean
  • Online booking or a form that works on a phone
  • Insurance (försäkring) and F-skatt in the trust bar

Trust signals on the website

  • RUT-avdrag
  • F-skatt
  • Försäkrad
  • Samma städare varje gång
  • Nöjd-kund-garanti
I recommend: Plus

695SEK/month

Cleaning sells locally and by type of service. You need separate pages for flyttstädning and hemstädning, plus the three areas you cover. That fits in the Plus plan. Choose Pro if you cover the whole city.

What the website looks like

The typical structure a cleaning company gets on the Plus plan. Page names are in Swedish, because that's how customers find them.

  1. 01Home page with RUT and “from” prices
  2. 02Hemstädning
  3. 03Flyttstädning with checklist
  4. 04Storstädning
  5. 05Fönsterputs
  6. 063 service areas
  7. 07About the company and the team
  8. 08Contact / booking

Is your team's schedule buried in text messages? Scheduling app for cleaning companies: Jupado Planner shows your staff the address, the job and the door code on their phone, and shows you the working hours and photos from every visit.

The same business on its old and new website

Move the slider. The new website opens with a photo, a heading and a phone number, and the quote form sits right next to them, with no scrolling.

After: the Vindlöv Städ website on the Jupado template. Above the white menu, a dark bar with opening hours and service areas, and in the menu a phone number and a yellow “Få ett pris” button. Below it, a full-width photo of a kitchen being cleaned with a dark overlay from the left, and on it the heading “Hemstädning och flyttstädning i Göteborg med RUT-avdrag”, a short description and the buttons “Ring +46 70 174 06 05” and “Se våra priser”. On the right, a white “Få ett pris” form card: type of service, postcode, floor area and phone.
Before: the old website of the fictional company Vindlöv Städ AB. A grey header reading “Välkommen till Vindlöv Städ AB”, a menu in a table, empty “Tjänst 1, 2, 3” boxes, a black-and-white photo, a visitor counter and a footer from 2012.
  • Phone number in the header
  • Quote form next to the heading
An example using a fictional business. I made up the “before” as a typical old website. The “after” is the first screen of the home page from my template, and on the phone it's what you see before you scroll. Photos: Pexels.

Website questions: Cleaning companies

Can the website show the price after RUT?

Yes. For each service I show the price before and after the deduction, the way Swedish companies do. The customer sees the amount after RUT without doing the maths.

Most of my customers come through recommendations. Why do I need a website?

A recommended customer still types your company name into Google before calling. If all they find is an old Facebook profile, they may pick someone else. The website confirms what they heard from a friend.

How do I keep track of the team's schedule as I get more customers?

The website takes enquiries; the schedule is a separate matter. For cleaning companies I have the Jupado Planner app: customers with recurring cleans, a weekly schedule and a staff view on the phone. The description and prices are at jupado.com/en/planner.
